Bitget record Bitcoin futures volumes

TL;DR: Bitget’s August 2025 Transparency Report highlights record trading volumes, new product launches, and cultural partnerships that reinforce its global influence in crypto and Web3.

Record-Breaking Trading Volumes

Bitget confirmed its role as a top-tier exchange by crossing $10 billion in Bitcoin futures open interest in August. Alongside this, Ethereum futures remained strong with $5–7 billion in activity, and total derivatives trading volume surged to $750 billion for the month. Cumulative derivatives volume has now reached $11.5 trillion, positioning Bitget among the most liquid exchanges for BTC, ETH, and SOL according to CoinDesk and The Block.

Innovation Through RWA Perpetuals

August saw the launch of Real-World Asset (RWA) Index Perpetuals, a first-of-its-kind product enabling trading of tokenized equities and indices within one instrument. This dynamic basket offers transparent pricing and flexible rebalancing, bridging traditional finance with decentralized markets. The move underscores Bitget’s push to innovate beyond standard crypto products, expanding access for both institutional and retail users interested in diversified on-chain exposure. These steps strengthen crypto adoption in emerging markets and simplify access to digital assets, aligning with broader fintech expansion covered by Mastercard Newsroom.

Culture, AI, and Community Growth

Beyond finance, Bitget blended technology and culture with activations at UNTOLD Festival (Romania), Blockchain Rio, GM Vietnam, and Coinfest Asia. The exchange also launched GetAgent, an AI-powered trading assistant, while its KCGI 2025 competition attracted more than 120,000 traders across 80 countries. With 60 million BGB tokens burned and new utilities added, Bitget reinforced its ecosystem token’s value. CEO Gracy Chen stressed that these milestones reflect a vision to unite finance, culture, and technology into a connected global community. Learn more at Bitget.
